An interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world, but in this case, not earth but another planet called ‘Exodus’.
A new world failed its terraforming, and the survivors are hanging on as the world collapses. This is made more interesting by species of animals being ‘controlled’ by wardens. Think of ‘The Birds’ but where a human can control their actions.
Its never really explained why a new world would be terraformed with snakes, of all animals, but it makes for a good story.
