At first you might think ‘an underwhelming title’, until you realise that the book references Caesar’s great work ‘Commentaries on the Conquest of Gaul’

Then you realise this ‘comic’ book addresses the real question, what would happen if the Gauls had written their own commentaries on the Gallic Wars? (The Gauls left few specimens of their writing. Their Celtic language could be inscribed, but used Greek or Etruscan alphabets. But what if?……)

In the story, a Gaul called ‘Newsmonger’ reveals there is a missing part of Caesar’s commentaries …

The commentaries written by Caesar misses the important fact that “the Year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans, well, not entirely … one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders.” And HE does not want the Empire to find out!
