If you are looking for a good guy, or a hero, or a plot, or redemption – you won’t find it here.
But as a snap shot of a week in Kabul trying to run an election – with the constant threat of bombs, snipers, assassins, mortars, mines, IEDs, car bombs, suicide bombers and poisonings – not to mention fecal dust – it gives the reader a sharp sense of how good your own life really is….
